Call for Applications Attention All School-based Asthma Programs! Start your application now for the 2015 U.S. EPA National Environmental Leadership Award in Asthma Management! Since 2005, 32 health plans, healthcare providers and communities in action have received this Award – the nation’s highest honor for programs delivering excellent environmental asthma management as part of their comprehensive asthma care services. Deadline: January 30, 2015, 11:59 p.m. EST School-based programs are encouraged to submit an application under the Communities in Action category! Apply today if your program: Addresses environmental triggers as part of a comprehensive asthma program. Promotes healthy learning environments in schools through an established indoor air quality management plan that improves the lives of those with asthma. Fosters high-performing collaborations with a diverse set of partners to improve asthma management in schools. Demonstrates results in improved academic performance based on asthma control strategies implemented in the school. Works with the community to increase awareness about asthma’s impact on students and how to effectively control it.
