Environmental Leadership Award in Asthma Management!
Since 2005, 32 health plans, healthcare providers and communities in action
have received this Award – the nation’s highest honor for programs
delivering excellent environmental asthma management as part of their
comprehensive asthma care services.

application under the Communities in
Action category!

- Addresses environmental triggers as part of a
comprehensive asthma program.
- Promotes healthy learning environments in schools
through an established indoor air quality management plan that
improves the lives of those with asthma.
- Fosters high-performing collaborations with a
diverse set of partners to improve asthma management in schools.
- Demonstrates results in improved academic
performance based on asthma control strategies implemented in the
school.
- Works with the community to increase awareness
about asthma’s impact on students and how to effectively control it.
- Promotes healthy learning environments in schools
through an established indoor air quality management plan that improve
the lives of those with asthma.
