California 2012 IPM Innovator Awards - Call for Nominations

The Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) is now accepting nominations for its 2012 IPM Innovator Awards. These awards are presented to organizations that have demonstrated their dedication to integrated pest management through the development and/or promotion of innovative methods for addressing agricultural and urban pest management challenges.

If you would like to submit a nomination online for your group or an organization you know, please visit:

Nominations for the 2012 IPM Innovator Awards will be accepted until May 31, 2012.

DPR began the IPM Innovator Award program in 1994 to publicly recognize pioneering agricultural and urban organizations for their leadership and creativity in new methods of pest management. DPR hosts an annual event to honor the Innovators.

IPM Innovators have a history of using pest management systems to reduce the risks posed by the use of traditional control practices, demonstrating the economic viability of their pest management concept, and documenting and sharing that system so others can learn and apply the information to their situation.

Recipients of the 2011 IPM Innovator Awards were the City of Palo Alto, Gallo’s Sonoma Vineyards, Marin County Integrated Pest Management Program, and Sunwest Fruit Company.
